The Account Executive is responsible for daily contact between the agency and client accounts. The Account Executive interfaces with various agency departments to move projects through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with and facilitating support from appropriate departments including creative services; digital, traditional and social media, website, public relations, etc.
The Account Executive has input in developing, presenting, and executing strategic marketing plans for
their clients. Additionally, the Account Executive is also responsible for identifying new business opportunities from existing clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles day-to-day activities for assigned clients.
- Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls, texts, and emails.
- Oversees execution of approved projects.
- Manages project timelines and keeps apprised of progress through the Production and Traffic Manager or other relevant personnel.
- Develops creative briefs, facilitating review and input by other client services team members as needed.
- Receives client briefings.
- Keeps a log and report of all client meetings and distributes to appropriate agency personnel.
- Quickly and accurately relays client changes to all appropriate agency personnel.
- Assists in preparing client invoices, proposals, marketing communications, and strategic marketing plans.
- Reviews creative/production materials, copy, and layouts for industry and brand standards.
- Maintains brand consistency across all mediums.
- Coordinates client approval of materials.
- Maintains basic knowledge of project budgets based on approved client agreements.
- Manages project budgets based on approved client agreements and draws attention to potential overages or additional needs as they arise.
- Completes internal processes in a timely manner (i.e. timesheets, updating tasks lists, etc.) to support a timely and efficient billing process.
- Reviews billing prior to release to clients, in the absence of a more senior accounts team member.
- Informs Account Director regularly of account progress for all assigned clients; involves Account Director immediately in event of potential problems, e.g., client/agency relations, budget overruns, etc.
- Keeps all other account team members informed of client activity.
- Demonstrates an understanding in basic marketing strategies and tactics.
- Exhibits continued development of new skills and knowledge through consumer insights and educational resources.
- Keeps apprised of developments in client brand/products/services as well as new marketing industry best practice.
- Sets up projects in Workamajig and facilitates completion and necessary levels of review, as needed.
- Maintains awareness of company agency standards of quality and client brand standards and ensures all work is consistent with each.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of and fully upholds various account functions and agency processes to support the company way.
- Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts, seeking input and guidance from more senior client services team members as needed.
- Supports new business efforts, by assisting with proposal development and research.
- Supports and represents agency at various client, industry, and community functions.

Requirements:
- 4-year college degree in marketing, communication, or related field and a minimum of 2-4 years work experience in the marketing industry; agency experience and prior internships a plus.
- Detailed oriented with a high level of organization
- Excellent communication skills
- High competency level on computer and software skills compatibility with job responsibilities, especially proficient in Microsoft Office tools and Outlook
