We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced social media manager to join one of our client’s teams at a senior level. The Associate Social Media Director works in tandem with the Content Director and members of the Creative, Client Service and Media Teams to help lead and expand our client’s social media communications programs. You will be responsible for leading the organic social work across a variety of social channels to grow client’s followings, social presence and drive client’s organic social objectives.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee a team consisting of community managers.
- Lead the ideation and building of content calendars for use on social channels for large client accounts, as well as supervise and oversee the strategies for team member accounts.
- Guide social strategies for clients including making recommendations for campaign driven engagement and community building.
- Stay informed on social best practices and set standards and protocols for posting cadences as well as overall approaches to all social media platforms.
- Ensure team members are meeting deadlines and staying on budget while providing best in class social media service.
- Assist in new business efforts including pitches, proposals, research, and case studies as directed.
- Help determine the creative strategy for different social clients.
What We're Looking For:
- 5-7 years of social media experience and/or marketing experience within an agency environment or on the client-side. (preference given to social media experience)
- Experience overseeing direct report(s) and managing day to day operations of workload
- Ability to work across verticals with ease and excitement - including retail, B2B, Finance, Healthcare, Hospitality, Tourism, Outdoors, Food & Beverage, etc.
- Fluent with social platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube) in not only feed management, but community engagement and development.
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social preferred)
- Have a proven track record of working cross-functionally with both internal creative and external teams and partners in marketing, communications, product, content, growth, and/or HR.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create compelling, authentic social captions, copy and tweets that tell a story and connect with the appropriate target audience.
- Ability to take initiative, keep organized, and handle multiple projects at once and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strategically minded thinker, with strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
