Chief Operating Officer

Location: Nashville, TN

Experience: 15+ years


As Chief Operating Officer you will report to the CEO and will be responsible for directing the organizational evolution of the firm to ensure future growth. The COO will focus on the agency’s day-to-day operating activities with an emphasis on creating scalable processes and solutions that can increase the value we deliver to our clients and ensure that we achieve and maintain a sustainable advantage in our increasingly competitive market segment.


The role’s purview includes business development, account management, project management, capabilities and production, and human resources. The COO will be accountable for revenue and profit-margin goals, staff and company-wide utilization rates, and team performance and satisfaction targets.


The COO will possess expertise in B2B marketing concepts, processes, and technologies, relying on their extensive experience and judgment to plan organization change, make their case to the CEO and CFO, implement their vision, and accomplish agreed-upon goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marshaling the agency’s resources to their most productive uses with the aim of creating maximum value for the firm’s clients and — by extension — its owners.
  • Owning performance measurements and reporting for the agency including profitability, client satisfaction, and employee sentiment.
  • Collaborating with the CEO, CFO, VPs, and upper-level directors to develop operational strategies and implement them. 
  • Engaging in appropriate coaching and corrective practices to align our staff with our organizational goals and new processes.
  • Maintaining and monitoring the agency’s staffing requirements, developing skill sets among staff, and creating clear paths for team growth.
  • Optimizing the agency’s infrastructure (i.e., office facility, remote work policies, collaboration tools and technologies) to enhance productivity. 
  • Advising the CEO and CFO on business planning and effective leadership communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 15+ years of experience in agency leadership
