Location: Carolina's (Remote)

Experience:


Responsible for the overall supervision of the agency’s creative product, both design and copy. The CD interfaces with the client, the media team, the Account Manager and the Creative Department. The CD is responsible for taking the strategic creative brief that has been developed and interpreting in into “the big idea.”


The CD assigns all creative projects within the agency Creative team and chooses which

freelancers will work on which creative assignments. The CD approves all creative work

developed by the Creative team before it is presented to the client. The CD will develop,

manage and inspire the Creative team. The CD should have a vision about the importance of

the creative product to the future success of the agency.


Job Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Direct the creative product developed by our team, and strive for excellence in everything from concept to on-schedule completion of every project.
  • Work closely with Account Planning and Account Management to solve marketing problems through smart, well-designed materials that help sell products and maintain a good image for both clients and the agency.
  • Manage the Creative team (Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Production Artists, Vide Team, etc.).
  • Conduct reviews, evaluate and recommend raises for all members of Creative team.
  • Have oversight on selection and management of all freelance services.
  • Interview and screen new applicants for Creative positions, as well as hiring and terminating.
  • Attend creative input meetings (along with the Art Director/Copywriter team) to develop creative strategies, and implement all creative requirements including copy, layout, illustrations, final art and photography.
  • Confirm client review and delivery schedules with Account Managers, and assign jobs to Creative team.
  • Oversee creative solutions and present those to Account Managers for internal approval at a date determined in the initial creative input meeting.
  • Direct comp work to assure on-schedule delivery for client review.
  • Develop creative ideas and actually produce creative work on behalf of the agency.
  • Is called on request of Account Planner or Account Manager, or by his/her own request, to “sell” creative at client presentations.
  • Is responsible for the agency brand and materials that represent and promote the agency.
  • In concert with Production Manager, select vendors for jobs and be involved, along with the Creative team, in signing off on final art, color proofs, bluelines and press proofs.
  • Represent the agency at Creative, professional and civic functions.
  • Participate in agency management meetings.
  • Prepare special projects and reports as directed by CFO, President or CEO
  • Will be trained to assist with other agency functions on an as needed basis.
  • Convey a professional and courteous attitude at all times toward clients, co-workers and guests.
  • Maintain a healthy attitude toward your job, make suggestions to improve the agency’s overall performance and attend weekly Account Management meetings.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
