We are hiring a detail-oriented, high-performing Media Buyer with a focus in Google Ads. This role is responsible for delivering successful persona-based digital campaigns across a portfolio of franchise clients. In this position, you will assist a team of Account Executives and other media buyers to strategize, plan and buy media on Google. This includes partnering with your team to develop campaign strategies and goals, conduct client research (client keywords, markets, audiences and targeting opportunities), setting up and launching Google campaigns and ongoing campaign maintenance.
This in-house Google expert will help our agency run successful and strategic Google campaigns for some of the agency’s biggest clients. A successful Media Buyer will have a passion for Google and performance marketing. With a solid understanding of marketing methodology and the customer’s journey, our Media Buyer will partner with their team to execute top-notch campaigns. Your expertise and strategic insights will support a team of account executives on occasional client-facing communications, like reporting calls, strategy presentations or collaboration sessions.
A successful Media Buyer will be organized, meticulously detail-driven, analytical and always curious. We are looking for a strategic mind who can execute thorough, complex campaigns that speak to client’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day campaign execution:
- Setting up proper campaign tracking and tag/code testing.
- Mapping out strategic Google conversions and setting them up.
- Collaborating with account executives, reporting team and department director to align campaign goals and strategies.
- Developing and implementing Google campaigns.
- Ensuring campaigns are pacing properly and delivering successful results for our clients.
- If they are not, proactively adjust optimize, pivot, and make the appropriate changes to deliver results.
- Ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on your campaigns, and Google campaigns from other Media Buyers.
- Partnering with Account Executives to collaborate, brainstorm and communicate campaign success (or downfalls) to the client.
- Budget reconciliations of your client budgets, and providing billing summaries as needed.
- Proactive and clear communication. An essential function of this role is to be able to clearly communicate with your team and account executives.
- Occasionally, you may be requested to join client reporting calls to elaborate on campaign performance.
- Personal accountability. If there is an issue with any campaigns, we expect our Media Buyers to take accountability to any issues and always offer transparent communication to your account executives and team.
- Research and discover changes within the media buying platforms and assist department director to ensure creative and client strategies align.
- Build and maintain relationships with agency support representatives at Google.
- Understand agency’s lines of business and service offerings available. Large clients may have complex scopes of work, where the Media Buyer will need to understand how client scopes of work effect allotted time for campaign management.
- Developing a thorough understanding of client goals and navigate through Google Ads to find ways to achieve those goals with your media buying toolset.
- Collaborating with team of media buyers for day-of issues that may arise.
- Occasional administrative work, like answering office phones, scanning, filing, completing forms and more.
- Assist department director in the development of media team processes and procedures.
- Assist the department director and other team members with additional requests as needed.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of social media planning and buying
- Demonstrated proficiency in Google’s advertising tools
- Google Search and Display Skillshop Certifications (Additional certifications are a plus!)
- Through understanding of the marketing funnel/buyer’s journey
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written/verbal)
