Media Directors maintain excellence in planning, implementation, and optimization of key media accounts. They are accountable for working with the team to ensure client goals are translated to media strategies, strategic plans are implemented, performance is appropriately measured, and tangible client business growth is achieved. Media Directors motivate and inspire those around them, build and grow a high-performing team, identify and oversee the development and implementation of top-performing campaigns, and stay ahead and apprised of relevant trends to position the agency and its team members as an industry thought leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee holistic media strategy development, execution and performance across all established channel activation
- Develop and execute measurement strategies that align with client business goals
- Lead innovation and adoption of new tools and technologies relevant to media strategy
- Educate Media, Accounts, Analytics and Creative on emerging trends and ever-evolving opportunities
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships through key client interactions such as status meetings, strategy presentations, and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Maintain collaborative and professional interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization - within Media team, with other disciplines within the agency and with external contacts
- Perform new business development efforts inclusive of strategy sales to new clients; strategy sales to existing clients; sales of other services and capabilities to new or existing clients
- Supervise team of Media Supervisors, Media Strategists, and Media Specialists
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, plus:
- Ten plus (10+) years of media strategy experience
- Five plus (5+) years of team management experience
- Must have experience running integrated omni-channel campaigns including digital (programmatic display and video, paid social, and paid search) and traditional media
- Must showcase mastery of relevant tools for reporting, analytics and competitive analysis
- Requires minimal direct supervision, relies on experience/data
- Excellent management and motivational skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and quantitative/analytical skills
- Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills
- Expertise in strategic planning and leadership
- Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
