As the New Business Strategist, you will play a strategic role, adding critical value by sourcing and helping to close new clients. As a “big picture” thinker, you are minded to go beyond an initial project request (i.e. website or video) to ask critical questions that unearth solutions to the important, big-picture outcomes that keep the prospect awake at night. You will work in tandem with a solution architect to match, educate, and present our client's service teams as the answer to strategically meet the client’s out-comes. As a relationship-builder, you will be entrusted with the role of initiating and building relationships with a prospect’s business and marketing leadership and presenting the “big picture” roadmap as a way to give clarity to accomplishing their goals.
Establishing New Relationships:
- Definition of success: This role is explicitly focused on hunting for and establishing a consistent pipe-line of new, qualified client leads for our client outside of their existing clients and prospect contacts.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Crafting and establishing a sales prospecting strategy for client-targeted verticals to implement tactics to produce a steady pipeline of new leads.
- This pipeline strategy will make use of a combination of referral strategies (yours and the owner’s personal network and referrals from existing clients), digital content marketing (thought leadership), and direct advertising.
- Establishing the initial contact with new prospects toward setting up an initial brainstorming meeting to pitch our Strategic Roadmap.
- Pitching our Strategic Roadmap as the answer for new prospects looking to achieve critical outcomes.
- Post-meeting follow-up with prospects to close them on beginning the Strategic Roadmap.
Strategically Nurturing Relationships:
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Joining quarterly check-In strategy calls with clients in order to continue the relationship and nurture larger accounts.

Experience and Skills:
Experience:
- 10 years of proven prospecting-focused sales experience
- Previous agency experience required including a broad understanding of the creative industry, agency inter-workings, digital media, and software as a service.
Skills:
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to calmly address a problem and find a good solution.
- Warm, friendly, and accommodating personality with the ability to develop personal relationships.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills and timely responsiveness to requests. The ability to convey to the design team the client’s preferences and expectations.
